Phase One

Orientation / Ice Cream Social

It was a HUGE success!  The most exciting part of the day was when Councilwoman Judy Green announced that she was able to secure $30,000 in the city budget for Phase Two of our playground!! Our proposed Phase Two is expected to run an estimated $38,000 plus installation costs.  This helps us tremendously in reaching our goal of getting Phase Two in place for the 2008/09 school year!

Thank you Concilwoman!

A SPECIAL Thanks to all those that came together and supported the PTA in order to make the children's dream a reality!***

In case you haven't heard yet, Byck's PTA has been working endlessly to get the kids a playground.  Well into the year, we realized it just was not possible to do all at once.  That's when we decided to piece it out.  We knew how hard the kids and parents had been working to raise funds, collect boxtops, etc. and we felt it was necessary to get SOME pieces of equipment out there this year to show you where all your hard work is going!  In the next years, we will continue to work on raising funds for a complete play system, but for now, Phase One has been built (although it hasn't been an easy road!)!

What it consists of:

4 Belt Swings

2 Tire Swings

4 Panel Cascade Climber

Stand Up See-Saw

This would not be possible without the parental and staff financial contributions to our Candle sales, Family Portraits, Engraved Bricks and Box Top & Labels for Education collecting.  Several parents and local businesses (The Heuser Clinic has been key in helping us to establish relationships with wonderful local foundations, thank you Peggy) Isaacs & Isaacs, Kate Rudd w/Sonic and all the others that donated hundreds of dollars to this cause...for this, we sincerely thank you.

We also have to thank our generous grant sponsors:

Cralle Foundation $ 5850 Grant

Kaboom! and Home Depot $4500 Grant

Without wonderful foundations like yours, dreams like this would never be possible.

Thank you for making our children's dreams come true by providing them a safe, fun place to stay active and healthy!
