Click here to get our Volunteer Interest Form, print it, fill it out and send in your child's backpack!  Someone on the board will contact you and get you going!  Please take the time to do this, even if you only check one box, that is an involved parent.  We NEED involved parents to keep all the great things that the PTA does going!!

Popcorn & Pickle Fridays are a cherished tradition at Byck.  The children look forward to the little snack at the end of the week and it has proven to be a morale booster as well as a continuing fund raising support system for our basic classroom needs. 

We realize that many of you work during those hours and would hate to ask you to take time off for this, but if any of you parents out there have a Friday morning available to donate a couple of hours, it's a fun way to get to know other PTA members and to stop by and visit your child for lunch! 

The kids truly love having their parents there, it makes them feel special.  There is a calendar available in the front office, please sign up for a Friday in need of volunteers.  Keep in mind that we need at least two people (preferably 3-4) or P & P will be cancelled. :-(  You can also contact our P & P Coordinator, Kathy Coombs to sign up or for more info.

Please take the time to pick a Friday and volunteer. 

The kids look forward to it and it has proven to be a staple in our funding of the schools wish lists.  What's for sale?  Popcorn, Sweet & Salty Snack Mix, Nutri-Grain Bars and of course, Pickles!  All for only 50 cents each!  What a bargain!

For the 2008-09 school year, we would like to have at least 2 parents per classroom volunteer to help coordinate classroom events, field trips, teacher wish-lists, teacher appreciation events, and assist in coordinating other parents in the classroom to volunteer for various school/PTA needs (i.e.pickles & popcorn).

 You will basically act as a liaison to the PTA in letting us know the classroom needs and functions.
